Three Seed IP attorneys to speak at the 27th Annual Intellectual Property Institute

The 27th Annual Intellectual Property Institute, presented in partnership with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) Intellectual Property Section, takes place on April 27 and 28 in a hybrid (in-person at WSBA offices or via live stream) presentation. This year's exciting and instructive Institute will assemble officers of the Court and practitioners from across the country to present on informative IP topics.

The following Seed IP attorneys are scheduled to speak and/or present:

  • Welcome and Introductions by Program Co-Chairs: Brooke Quist (Seed IP) & Dario Machleidt (Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP) | April 27 at 8:55 a.m.
  • Brooke Quist will also moderate the "Fireside Chat with Judge Albright & Magistrate Judge Gilliland" | April 28 at 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Bradley J. Zentz | Associate, Seed IP Law Group

  • Trademark Year in Review | April 27 at 9:00-10:00 a.m. | A presentation and discussion of important developments in Trademark Law from 2021 to present. The presentation and discussion will touch on a variety of notable recent topics, including an overview of the rollout of the Trademark Modernization Act, notable case law decisions, and trademark issues to watch in 2022.

  • Patent Year in Review | April 28 at 2:00-2:45 p.m. | This session will cover significant Federal Court and USPTO decisions and developments in U.S. patent law over the past year.
