Ania Smeraldo
Ania focuses her practice on intellectual property matters across a number of industries. In2018, she earned a B.A. in Communications from the University of Washington. Ania received her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2025.
Ania has experience with trademark procurement in a variety of industries, consumer products & services, pharmaceuticals, and software & internet. She has drafted numerous producer and side artist agreements, IP licensing & artist contracts, and master agreements. Ania also has researched rights of publicity laws, state-by-state. She has experience with generative AI technology and related litigation.
During law school, Ania helped launch the TILE (Technology, Innovation Law, and Ethics) Program as a research assistant. She earned the CALI Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property, and she was awarded the WSBA IP Section Scholarship Award for her work in IP, arts, and entertainment. Ania was also a 2022-23 Gregoire Fellow, a program that recognizes students for their academic and professional achievements, unique perspectives and experiences, and leadership potential.
Prior to joining Seed IP, Anis worked for Virgin Music/Universal Music Group, Amazon Global Media and Entertainment, Hughes Media Law Group, Pioneer Square Labs, two local law firms, and externed for the Washington State Supreme Court.
