Rajdeep Trilokekar
Rajdeep focuses his practice on intellectual property matters across a number of industries, including software & internet, AI, machine learning, and robotics. In 2020, he earned a B.S. in Neurobiology, Behavior, and Computation from the University of Utah. Rajdeep received his J.D. from J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University, in 2023.
Rajdeep focuses primarily in the areas of computer science and artificial intelligence, but he has broad patent experience in a variety of technological areas including automotive technologies (autonomous vehicles, batteries, thermal management, materials, structure and construction, fleet management), telecommunications (cellular, video encoding), financial services, energy technologies (renewables, grid management, nuclear), and healthcare technologies. In his prosecution practice, he has experience drafting, prosecuting, and appealing patent applications (including standard-essential patents) for clients ranging from individual inventors to Fortune 100 companies.
Rajdeep has previously worked as a research assistant with a focus on data analysis in neuroscience and computer science labs and as a software intern at a myoelectric prosthetic startup. He also has written academically on tax and pharmaceutical policy and an empirical analysis of how United States Patent & Trademark responds to judicial decisions, as well as co-authored a publication on intellectual disability-associated synapse formation. During law school, Rajdeep was a two-time regional award winner in the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s Giles S. Rich Memorial Moot Court Competition and served as the Managing Editor of Publication for the BYU Journal of Public Law. Rajdeep’s interest in bridging the gap between application and theory has drawn him to tech transfer work for universities, while his professional specialization has been providing comprehensive prosecution strategy for applications in the U.S. as well as in Europe, Japan, China, and Canada.
Prior to joining Seed IP, Rajdeep worked for several years at a boutique IP law firm based out of Spokane, WA.
