Chianna Mirtaheri
Chianna focuses on trademark prosecution and litigation, as well as internet policy. Chianna received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2026, where she was a Dean’s Fellow and a full-tuition scholarship recipient. She earned a B.A. in International Studies & Philosophy (with minors in Human Rights & Comparative Politics and International Relations) from Southern Methodist University in 2020.
During law school, Chianna served as a Summer Clerk and Legal Clerk with Seed IP’s Trademark Litigation and Internet Policy practice. In that role, she helped clients navigate a broad range of issues, including trademark clearance, USPTO proceedings, TTAB matters, copyright disputes, and internet governance disputes. She also contributed to client advisories and presentations examining emerging issues at the intersection of artificial intelligence, online rights, brand protection, and internet policy.
Chianna also worked as a Science & Technology Summer Legal Intern at a California family office. Her experience included analyzing privacy frameworks such as the CCPA, CPRA, and GDPR to support the development of proprietary technologies, evaluating AI governance and privacy considerations, and reviewing technology licensing agreements. She also conducted legal research on intellectual property and tax matters to support strategic planning and transaction structuring in connection with a nonprofit acquisition. Through Santa Clara Law’s Entrepreneurs Law Clinic, Chianna further advised startup and emerging-growth companies in developing intellectual property strategies and commercial agreements.
Prior to pursuing a legal career, Chianna worked in geopolitical intelligence analysis, including roles at Snap Inc. and as an analyst embedded at Amazon Studios. She supported strategic business initiatives involving international expansion, mergers and acquisitions, global events, and emerging risk monitoring to support critical cross-functional decision-making. Her experience analyzing complex policy, business, and geopolitical issues provides her with a practical understanding of the business and global considerations that frequently intersect with intellectual property and technology matters.
