Seed IP Law Group welcomes patent agent Kazuya (Kaz) Toyama, Ph.D.

Seed IP Law Group’s Biotechnology, Chemistry & Pharmaceuticals Group proudly welcomes patent agent Kazuya (Kaz) Toyama, Ph.D. He focuses his practice on chemistry and organic chemistry matters. Kaz received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016, and a B.S. (cum laude) in Chemistry from St. Francis College in 2007. 

Kaz has over 7 years of experience in academia organic chemistry research, and 2 years of experience in industrial engineering. He has a scientist’s expertise in designing supramolecular catalysts, methodology development with asymmetric catalysts, total synthesis of anti-fungi natural products, polymer chemistry, and material science.

Kaz is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the Washington State Patent Law Association (WSPLA) and Life Science Washington.
