Seed IP attorneys successfully represented Plentyoffish Media, Inc., in proceedings before the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board (T.T.A.B.). Plentyoffish Media opposed registration and petitioned to cancel the “PLENTOFPROS” marks for online social networking. After discovery and trial briefing, the T.T.A.B. ruled in favor of Plentyoffish Media and granted all of the requested relief. In addition, the T.T.A.B. found that Plentyoffish Media’s mark is “very strong in connection with its services particularly in the field of dating, and is entitled to broad protection.” Plentyoffish Media, Inc. v. Maya, Opp. No. 91205340, 2014 WL 5035520, at *12 (T.T.A.B. Sep. 25, 2014).
