David's practice is focused on patent and trademark prosecution, clearance, strategic counseling, and enforcement. He also has substantial experience advising clients on intellectual property transactions and associated due diligence. Before becoming an attorney, David was a chemical engineer for a manufacturer, working on troubleshooting and design improvements for unit operations (including heat transfer, compression, hydraulic systems, and related control system function). He also represented a large specialty chemical company in field applications, where he was recognized for his use of statistical modeling to demonstrate plant equipment efficiency improvements.
David is admitted to the Washington State Bar and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington. David is a member of the American Bar Association, the Washington State Patent Law Association (WSPLA), and the International Trademark Association (INTA).
