Seed IP Law Group Celebrates 60 Years

We are honored to announce the 60th anniversary of Seed IP Law Group! Founded in 1962 by entrepreneurs Richard W. Seed and Benjamin F. Berry, Seed IP quickly became a leading intellectual property law firm in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. We have had a number of named partners over the years, but the ‘Seed’ name and brand have remained a constant, as has the quality of our work.

“I was extremely fortunate to work with Mr. Seed for the first few years of my 25-year career at Seed IP. He created a positive vision and a strong, collaborative culture, growing Seed IP into a premier IP boutique. We are proud to carry on the Seed name, vision, and culture, and are excited to continue growing and strengthening the Seed IP brand worldwide,” adds Kevin Costanza, Managing Partner of Seed IP Law Group.

About Seed IP Law Group

Seed IP Law Group provides comprehensive legal assistance in all areas of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and unfair competition, confidential information, due diligence, licensing, enforcement, litigation, and mediation. Moreover, our full service approach is integrated to assist in development and maintenance of a strategic and robust intellectual property protection program.

Seed IP Law Group is a leading intellectual property law firm in the Pacific Northwest with over 50 patent attorneys, trademark attorneys, and patent agents, and a support staff of over 120 employees. We have a wide variety of clients that range from individuals and start-up companies in emerging technologies to established multinational corporations, with IP needs ranging from trademark clearance to protecting complex chemical, biotechnology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and software patents.

A global and integrated strategy for protecting intellectual assets, combined with clearance studies, is critical to establishing a strong and valuable intellectual property estate. We employ a team approach in which attorneys with complementary experience and skills work together to provide the most comprehensive, cost-effective legal services possible to create and execute intellectual property strategies and portfolios.

We leverage our specific legal and technical expertise to develop programs designed to address each client’s particular business needs and objectives. In developing a customized program, we work with a company’s management team to identify core competencies, we evaluate the nature of the intellectual property at issue, and we work with inventors to identify the points of novelty of inventions. Based on these and other factors, such as a client’s product or service, business model, and development goals, we implement and maintain the most appropriate strategy to broadly protect and maximize the value of our clients’ innovations and other intellectual assets.

We look forward to working with you as we continue to protect your IP over the course of the next 60 years …
