On May 22 & 24, Seed IP's Shoko Leek (partner) and Toshiko Takenaka (of counsel) and are scheduled to join attorneys at Bracewell LLP (Seattle, USA), TMI Associates (Tokyo, Japan), and Bardehle Pargenberg (Munich, Germany) in presenting and participating in mock trials in USPTO, EPO, & JPO post-grant proceedings. The mock trials will use fact patterns to highlight different standards and procedures for amending claims and arguing novelty and nonobviousness over the prior art. Shoko will present an overview of PTAB IPR and play the role of USPTO patent administrative judge in the mock hearing.  Toshiko will play the chief patent counsel of the patentee and comment on the three mock trials from the comparative law perspective.

The May 22 mock trial will be hosted by Osaka Institute of Technology, and the May 24 event is hosted by TMI Associates.
