Trademark Associate

Position Summary

Seed IP Law Group is seeking a mid-level associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its Trademark Group in the Seattle office. The role involves counseling on a broad range of domestic and international trademark, copyright, domain name, and related IP matters.

Responsibilities include:
  • Trademark clearance, counseling, prosecution, portfolio management
  • Handling opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB)
  • Advising on global brand protection and enforcement strategies, including anti-counterfeiting
  • Domain name and other online enforcement, including UDRP proceedings and marketplace  and app store enforcement, as well as defending online uses
  • Support internet and tech policy initiatives, including ICANN engagement
  • Providing copyright guidance and managing copyright registration and maintenance
  • Support IP litigation matters (as needed)
 Qualifications:
  • 2 to 5 years of trademark-focused experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Strong skills in trademark prosecution and enforcement, with familiarity in copyright and domain name issues
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Admission to practice and good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. required
Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $240,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus of 10%.
