Seed IP Law Group is seeking a mid-level patent attorney with a life sciences technical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold one or more higher degrees in the biological sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, etc.), and relevant industry work experience is valued. The candidate should be a member of the patent bar and have 3-8 years of experience in the areas of patent prosecution, portfolio management, and preparation of opinions. Strong organizational, writing, and oral communication skills are a must, as is the ability to work collaboratively with other attorneys, agents, and staff. Experience with negotiating IP-related agreements and conducting IP due diligence relating to corporate transactions is a plus. The firm will give preference to applicants currently living in, or willing to relocate to, the Seattle metro area but may consider a remote work arrangement.
Seed IP offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and an unmatched environment for a fulfilling career. The firm is ranked in the top 10 of Washington State’s Best Large Workplaces and among the top 10 law firms (with 100 or fewer attorneys) nationally for its minority representation in its attorney and equity partner ranks as well as on its Executive Committee.
