Seattle’s “Queen Mary Tea Room” settles trademark dispute

Seed IP attorneys successfully represented Queen Mary, Inc., in litigation against a Salt Lake City-based tea company. Queen Mary filed trademark infringement and unfair competition claims in the Western District of Washington, and later successfully defended against a motion to dismiss. The parties later agreed to settle the case. The settlement protects Queen Mary’s trademark rights in the marks TEA QUEEN and THE QUEEN’S RULES and allows the parties to get back to the business of tea.

Queen Mary, Inc., runs the Queen Mary Tea Room, the oldest independent tea room in America.
