Julie Urvater (Patent Agent) specializes in biotechnology patent matters. She received her B.A. in French from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (1988), and her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1998) where she specialized in immunology. Her graduate research centered around the study of genetic predisposition to reactive arthritis in nonhuman primates.
Prior to joining Seed, she was a post doctoral research fellow in the Program
in Immunology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
Julie is a member of the Washington State Patent Law Association
and the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association.
She is registered to practice before the United States Patent
and Trademark Office.
