Lorraine Linford specializes in domestic and foreign patent protection in the
mechanical and aeronautical fields. Lorraine assists clients
in patent procurement and enforcement, strategic planning,
patentability, validity and infringement opinions, and conflict
resolution. She also specializes in U.S. and international
trademark issues. She received a B.S. in Aeronautical and
Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington,
where she was awarded the Louis and Katherine Marsh Memorial
Scholarship. She also received a J.D. from the University
of Washington, where she won the Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition
for her paper on competing standards for determining substantial
similarity in copyright cases.
Lorraine is admitted to the bar in Washington and is registered
to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Her
professional affiliations include the Washington State Bar
Association and the Washington State Patent Law Association.
