Hai
Han specializes in U.S. and foreign chemical and semiconductor
processing patent matters, including patent procurement, licensing
and strategic management of intellectual property portfolios.
Hai received a B.S. in Chemistry from Peking University (China)
in 1992 and a Ph.D. in Organic and Physical Organic Chemistry
from Brown University (1997). She also conducted post-doctoral
research at the Department of Chemistry, Northwestern University
(1998). She holds a JD from University of Washington School
of Law (2003).
During her career as a scientist, Hai combined her specialties in both organic synthesis and spectroscopic techniques to design and synthesize complex electron-transfer molecular assemblies. She then investigated their opto-electronic characteristics. Hai was also experienced in the synthesis of macromolecules, including those with potential utility as artificial organs, and photo refractive materials for optical signal processing applications. She has authored research articles and presented results at Gordon Conferences.
Hai is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2003.
