Bill
has counseled leading Northwest clients on patent, trademark
and copyright matters for more than twenty years, with an
emphasis on licensing, dispute resolution and litigation.
He graduated cum laude from the University of Dayton School
of Engineering (1978) and received a J.D. from the University
of Washington (1981).
Bill is a member of Tau Beta Pi and is admitted to practice
in Washington State and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark
Office. He is past president of the Washington State Patent
Law Association and former director of the Washington Volunteer
Lawyers for the Arts. He has lectured on patent, trademark
and copyright law at the University of Washington (1984-1995)
and has published numerous articles on intellectual property.
Bill has been listed in "Best Lawyers in America"
since 1991 and has been selected as a Washington Law &
Politics "Super Lawyer" annually since 1998.
