Jason Evans specializes in domestic and foreign patent prosecution
in the fields of mechanical engineering and computer-related
technology. He received his B.A. in Physics from Pomona College
in 2000, and was awarded his J.D. from the University of Chicago
Law School in 2003.
Prior to joining the Seed IP Law Group, Jason practiced as a
patent attorney in the Southern California area. He has experience
with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in
various fields of disk drive technology, including internal circuitry,
power delivery, firmware, manufacturing and mechanical structures.
Additionally, he has prosecuted patent applications relating to
electronics and semiconductors, medical devices, semiconductor
fabrication, and computer software and network systems. Jason has
prepared patentability and right-to-practice opinions, license agreements
and has performed infringement analyses. He has also lectured on
intellectual property to engineering audiences.
Jason is admitted to the California State Bar and is registered to practice
before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the American
Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association.
