Ellen M. Bierman specializes in computer-related patents and litigation. She received her A.B. in Arts and Sciences from Cornell University (1979) and her M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington (1981). Her graduate study included research in the areas of object-oriented computer architecture and network-based operating systems. She received a J.D. (summa cum laude) from the University of Puget Sound (1993), where she was an associate editor for the Law Review.
Ellen's professional experience includes research and development and management experience at various companies, including Microsoft Corporation, Hewlett Packard Company, and Digital Equipment Corporation. She has extensive expertise in the areas of operating systems, user interface design and object-oriented software.
She is admitted to the Washington State Bar (1993) and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
