U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers® have released the 2018 “Best Law Firms” rankings, marking the eighth edition of this highly-anticipated annual analysis. Seed IP Law Group LLP ranks in Tier 1 in the Seattle metropolitan area for Patent Law, Trademark Law, Information Technology Law, Biotechnology Law, Litigation-Patent Law, and Copyright Law. Seed IP is also ranked nationally in either Tier 2 or 3 for all of these same categories.

The 2018 rankings are based on the highest number of participating firms and highest number of client ballots on record. Over 13,000 attorneys provided over 1,000,000 law firm assessments, and over 7,500 clients provided close to 65,000 evaluations. To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have at least one lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top 4 percent of practicing attorneys in the United States. Firms are eligible in the practice area(s) and metro region(s) in which they have listed lawyers. Seed IP is proud to have twenty attorneys listed in the 2018 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

Firms included in the 2018 “Best Law Firms” list are recognized for professional excellence with persistently impressive ratings from clients and peers. Ranked firms, presented in tiers, are listed on a national and/or metropolitan scale. Receiving a tier designation reflects the high level of respect a firm has earned among other leading lawyers and clients in the same communities and the same practice areas for its abilities, its professionalism and its integrity. Awards were given in 75 national practice areas and 122 metropolitan practice areas. These rankings provide a comprehensive view of the U.S. legal profession that is unprecedented both in the range of firms represented and in the range of qualitative and quantitative data used to develop the rankings.
